New carb on LT80
#1
Hey Jack, and anybody else out here in LT80 land
As I'm still learning, just wanted to throw this out for your opinions.
My kids Lt80 that they are MX racing, mostly stock.
4 front clutch rollers
Rear clutch shoes cut down to about 185 grams
running pre-mix 32:1
Still using the stock plug, needle clip top postion
When I bought another quad, got lots of parts. The guy said to try this carb on the stock motor and see how it work. Let me know your thoughts on good/bad idea, any changes you'd recommend.
I swapped out the stock carb with stock jets.
Put on another stock carb that is ported front and rear, has 115 and 20 jets, needle clip in top position.
It passed the "seems to run fine test". Daughter said that it seems faster, after I rode it it seemed a little bit faster to me also. Not a lot of smoke, haven't checked the plug yet, as I put a new one in because I pulled to old plug and it was black.
I'll leave it at that for now, see what you guys think.......
