? on rubicon oil change

Default ? on rubicon oil change

jsut changed my oil in rubicon, put the 5.2 quarts on new oil in, pull the drain pan out from under the bike, lord and behold, there was my spring that goes on my oil filter. was wondering if anybody knew if i pulled the oil filter out would i lose my new oil?. if so guess i will catch it in a new oil pan. was talking to a buddy not paying any attention...............dummy me.....................................thanks guys..........

I'm sure you would, but if your quick and cover it with your hand too you wouldn't even lose 1/4 of a quart.

for your info, went ahead and pulled the oil filter out, lost maybe a handful of oil. so if anybody else here pulles this boner dont worry. you will not have to put 5.2 quarts of new oil back.......whewwwwwwwwww glad of this.............dawg

Yah, especially if you use Honda oil at like $4 a quart

well one thing, if you ever pull this trick again hopfully not lol, it would probly help to tip the bike up on it's end.
