I have an 01 with a white brothers e-series exhaust system, white brothers power filter, and works performance front shocks and a 300ex rear shock (just installed the shocks today so haven't had a chance to try them out).

No the rear shock doesn't just line up. The stock bolts for the shock are too big and won't fit in the holes on the 250ex. What i had to do is buy a smaller bushing that fits inside the bushing on the shock, so the smaller bolts off the 250ex fit tight in the shock, otherwise there was too much room for the bolt to move inside the bushing. The 300ex shock is also shorter then the 250ex shock so the back end is lowered a little.

And i forgot, the white brothers pipe did add a little power but not a whole lot. It is better then stock though and i wouldn't go back. The pipe is tunable to so if you are in an area that you need to be quiet, you can change it. This has come in handy sometimes.
