I am going to bore and stroke my 99 400 scrambler 4x4 and I was just wondering how big I can go on the bore without having an overheating probiblem?? I would also like to know what I can expect my total cc range to be in after getting it bored and stroked to the max???
Thank you for your help,
Phillip

For your mods call HPD (612)389-3336 or RITTER CYCLE both are good HPD has a big bore kit 423 cc i think.

hi man,i've bored mine 400 4x4 99 to .080 wiseco piston up to 399cc and trust me it worth it a lot more throttle response and low end power, after it you can add 12.1 or more billet heads to keep it cool.

You should be able to order a Wiseco .080 (85mm)piston from any dealer. HPD have Wisecos for 86.5 to get to to 416cc and 87.0 for get up to 421cc available as well, but they require serious head mods.

Stroking is a different story. I'm not sure any of the aftermarket co.'s do it.
