hey, ive been thinking about getting a new quad for a while now and i think its just about time. so i was wondering what one would be good for me after coming from a 250ex. 300ex, 400ex. z400. or kfx 400, or another quad around this displacement cc.?

 

Well the z and kfx are the same thing so either one of those or the 400ex. Personally I would go with a brand new 400ex over the Z, I know not everyone is going to agree with me here but I love that bike. Make sure you test drive everything you can before you make a purchase. Good luck.

 

I would probably go for a 400 class quad also. You get a great all around atv, something that will give you years of faithful service with proper maintenance. There are only 2 reasons I can think of to pick the 400EX over a Z clone, and those are $$$ and /or being a diehard Honda fan. Either would make an excellent next step, possibly even the highest step for many riders.

 

what about the 300ex? or is that 350 aptor any good?

Yes, both are solid and reliable quads. The 300EX will handle a bit better, while the Raptor is faster. Both are a definate upgrade in performance over a 250EX. My only concern is that if you are getting bored with the 250, then stepping up to a 400 might make more sense at this point. Of course, a lot depends on your age and financial situation also.

 

yah prolly, im 5foot 8inches , and about 130lbs. and is the dvx 400 any good they dont seem to be that popular are they lacking hondas and suzukis perfomance or something?

 

oh yah, and im 14 years old, finacial , maby but hopefully ill get a descent amount for the 250

 

The DVX is a Z400 in different clothing. The 05 model did NOT get the shock/engine updates that Suz and Kaw got. You should be able to find a nice 300EX or Warrior for not to much more than a clean 250EX should fetch.
