might of cracked your spark plug,,,,it might be loading up with gas because of a bad plug OR wire, and when it does fire, all of the gas that has loaded up is causing the flame thrower
just something to check
just something to check

anouther thing you might want to check is if you just had the carb off to rebuild it,,,
A),,,you may not have the throttle cable installed correctly
B),,,you may have the throttle cable "twisted" if you rebuilt the carb with the cables still attatched,,,,if you rebuild a carb with the cables still attatched, its real easy to twist the cable by picking the carb up,setting it down while getting tools and such,,,,what this will do depends on which way it has been twisted,,,,one way the throttle will want to rev by itself,,,,the other way it wont rev all the way when you want it
C),,,same as A,B for the choke
