Default LOUD PIPE!

I've got a 05 yfz 450, I just did a bunch of mods on it like... 480 big bore kit, esr air box eliminator, -6 flywheel, timing mod and a LRD 4 pro pipe. It's fast very fast, but it's loud to. 104db without the quiet core and 100dbs with it installed. I need to get it down to 96 dbs without killing all the power I gained any suggestions?

Default LOUD PIPE!

I had an FMF Titanium 4 exhaust on my YFZ, and it was sooo damn loud you couldn't hear yourself think. So I switched to an FMF Q2 exhaust, and the sound level is absolutely perfect. It is nice and throaty with a mean snarl to it, but not so loud that it hurts you to listen to it. And I believe FMF claims 96 dB with the Q2. The surprising part to me though, was that my YFZ feels like it pulls every bit as hard with the Q2 as it did with the much louder Titanium 4, and it runs better overall, with less popping under deceleration. The quality of the product is much much greater with the Q2 than with the Titanium 4 as well, and it makes the Titanium 4 look cheap in comparison. It is a very high quality exaust that works well, and I'm more happy with it than I have been with any other aftermarket exhaust I've owned (Yoshimura, Muzzy, HMF, or White Brothers).

I'm not saying an FMF Q2 will pull as hard as your LRD exhaust does, because I have no way of knowing that. I do think it is possible to get good performance without all the racket though. Good luck.
