300ex into a trx 600ex

Has any body put a xr600 in a 300ex frame. Te help would be great. THANKS!!
I have never done a motor swap berfore and i want to do this to my 300ex. I need all the help i can get.

Dirt Wheels did it in 1998. The project was featured in several editions.

ya but it was in a 400ex frame not a 300ex

Umm... The 400EX wasn't even available until the summer of 1998. They used a white Leager's 300EX chassis for the project. I know they did because I remember wondering why they didn't use one based on a 250R.

Dirt Wheels also did one with a 400ex frame.

I remember it well... it had orange plastic and a grey-veined powdercoated frame.

Thanks for correcting me i have a january 2003 dirt wheels with it and thought it was a 400ex. But what do you have to do to get the motor in the 300ex frame
