I want to get a set or rear tires for the bayou and am deciding between these two. Who is better in muddy situations and what are the tread depths on these two.

Nobody in our club has bear claws but there are a lot of sur tracks. We have them on our Recon. They work great compared to the stock tires that came on it.

One note the Sur Track are 2 ply not 4. The Sur Tracks are reversable for snow riding.

Another note about Sur Tracks they are a little shorter than advertised. Our 24" tires were about 23 3/4.

No info on the bear claws.

I have Bearclaws front and rear on my Scrambler I think their excellent in the mud. They are 4 ply, they are a little on the stiff side and ride a bit harsh on rocky trails at speed but not real bad. The tread depth is 7/8 inch deep. Make sure you get the newer model the older ones are only 5/8 inch deep. Don`t ride with anyone who uses Surtraks. HTH
