Oh Jesus, help us now!!!

I'll give my .02 anyway...I found the YFZ to be uncomfortable to sit on. The Predator was very comfortable for me (5'-11" and 225lbs). That weighed heavily on my decision. In stock form I think the YFZ is a bit quicker off the line, and in the low to mid range, but the Predator is faster and pulls harder at the top. Both mod out pretty well. I had a chance to run a YFZ with only my pipe and him with a Big Gun, filter and jetting. Let's just say neither of us was embarrased, but that may change now that I have my jetting and filter and opened up the pipe. I'm looking forward to running again now that I have my mods. According to the CT Racing dyno runs, the stock Preddy does 41.2hp and the YFZ 33.1 (and not a good curve either). Modded though, those numbers really change in favor of the YFZ though...to be fair. The Preddy rides good, but the YFZ felt stiff. I have yet to bottom out my Fox Podiums, and I have tried, believe me. They land very nicely.

LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!! LOL

i think the predator is the best over all quad next to the z400 that you can buy, other than being a tad heavy for a sport quad, i find it to be ultimately perfect for nearly all riding situations.

to really give a decent example of what the predator is capable of, the YFZ has been raced for years in the GNCC events and the 2 top winners road YFZs, third place was a honda and 4th over all was Matt Smiley on board his Predator 500. now for the first year ever that the predator has been professionally backed and raced in a GNCC and it came in 4th. i mean, that really speaks alot to me.

LOL I dont want any quad bashing. Im going to build another quad for flat track raceing. And i had my mind made up on a YFZ untill i set on a Predator and you are right it is comfortable But i did not get a chance to ride it. But i have road a YFZ and they have tons of power. And i am bigger im 6-2 250 and the predator flet better becouse its a little bigger than a YFZ. But im a Die Hard yamaha guy. Is a polaris predator as reliable as the yamahas?

I haven't had any at all. If you haven't been there yet, Predator Owners will shed some light on the problems guys are having. The latest one I saw was the chain guide is wearing quick, especially if you are running a small front sprocket. I'm not (yet) and not seeing it wear too bad. I'll be honest, being on these forums and out in some of the other areas, I don't see the Pred having any more problems than the rest of them.

I think the Pred would be a badass flat tracker. Little more weight to keep the power to the ground, but still able to throw it into corners without too much effort would be a good combo in my opinion. If you looked at the stock dyno numbers too, power to weight is one of the best in the market.

Oh Webopper Your about to make me change my colors lol. Boy the rest of the blacksheep race team would give me hell if i bought something besides yamaha lol becouse a few of them have 450rs and i rag on them all the time, just in fun. Well ill go test ride a predator. I just love how comfortable is was compared to the YFZ. I wish now i would have test rode it.

Well Thanks for the info now im scatter brained
