im looking into the durability and lifespan and maintenace of an auto for the 400 4x4 to find out that some have kawi trans and they suck so some say. does the 06 400 have the duramatic trans or the kawi and how much are the belts and how long do they last for someone thats not beating there atv to death

i have had both kawi and duramatic and i can tell ya from experience the duramatic transmission and clutching is years ahead of kawi's design. i heard figures that you should get 5000 to 6000 miles out of a belt on the duramatic. most people who have kawi's had to fiddle around with clutch springs and stuff to get it pretty good and i am sitting at 1700 miles on mine and am on the third belt, finally good to go but still don't trust it.
