Default Bombardier 800 Max ALERT!!!!!!

Just an alert to all interested in buying a Bombardier Product.

All the promotions are given to the dealer not the customer. An example the 3 or 5 year warranty. It is up to the dealer to regester the product. You may assume you are getting the three year warranty but the dealer may op to take the rebate for himself and give you 6 months. Then when you call the factory (customer service) they tell you to get with the dealer and resolve it with them. NO SUPPORT WITH THE FACTORY. Even if you have it in writing the factory will not help you. Your only recourse is a law suit.

My dealer " Ocala Motorsports in Ocala Florida has regestered my 800 Max for 6 months. On the day of purchase I ask for the 3 year warranty in writing. They stated in front of my freind that there would be no problems. Guess what? Now the factory says the dealer regestered the product for 6 months and it would be a problem between me and the dealer. The dealer has said for two weeks now they will look into it. The owner has not returned my calls.

I think my dealer took a large rebate for himself instead of giving me the three years. I know they got a $150.00 from my puchase already. My freinds dealer passed that rebate to him.

I am now wishing I never bought this brand!!! Those of you in Florida stay away from this dealer. And to think I paid cash for this ATV.

P.S For those who have the 800 Max I would call customer service to verify your warrenty.

Sounds like a dealer scam to me..although it may have been an over site on their part. Keep on them and let us know what you find out.

i had to pay an additonal 150 for my 5 yrs warranty also, but that is nothing for a 5 yr warranty...

as far as not buying the brand, thats silly just cause your dealer scammed you....

its like eating bad chinese food, you dont stop eating it you go somewhere else..

I see your point. But, what really gets my goat is Bombardier not caring about the customer. I can deal with the fact I picked a bad dealer.

Customer Service says sorry to bad.

I may send a regestered letter to the CEO of Bombardier and I'll go from there.

i would try another customer service person a brp before you do a letter..sometimes you can get an idiot...

UPDATE:

The salesman at the dealer has contacted me late this afternoon. I think someone sent him this link. Anyway he says he will explain to the owner of the dealership that he made the agreement with me for the three year extended warranty. We will see what happens now. I guess the salesmanager thought otherwise.

Still not happy that BRP would not step in.

It sounds ridiculous, I wasn't aware the dealer could play with an advertised warranty period.
If you don't get satisfaction from the dealer, find out who the area Bombardier Rep is and contact him. Something just isn't right here.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]

You will not reach the top dog at Bombardier period, go throught the channels first.

it goes both ways...my rep in the area actually honored my 5 yr warranty even tough my deliver took 3 wks longer than the special was running....


you get good and bad with everthing...let it roll off your back, things could be worse it could be a yamaha--LOL...
