How does the Raptor 700 compare to the 450R? I used to have a YFZ 450 that was bored to a 480 and had other stuff done to it but then i traded it off for the Raptor. A friend of mine just bought a 450R i was wondering how they would compare being both stock then compare after being modded? Thnks Mace

 

stock the yfz is faster than the 700 stock and the 450r is as fast as the yfz so for speed the 450r but if you are just trail riding and nothing else the 700 becous you don't have to cluch as much and it's smoother on the trails but the 700 is not as easy to do wheelys

 

I agree. Both are great machines. It just depends on what you want to use them for.

Depends 100% on the application. You can never just take two machines and say, hands down, this one is better than this one without information as to how they will be used.

 

i had a raptor 700 and my new 07 trx with the hrc kit is way faster.. believe it its true.. and i had all the mods on my 700 ,,when i pinned the throtthe on the trx i could not believe how much smoother and stronger the honda was ,,,,,,,wierd

 

it will also depend on the rider if you are going to drag race. i rode a 700 after riding my 450 all day, to be honest the 700 felt very weak in throttle response. the 450 likes the high rpm's and the 700 can operate good in the low. like everybody else said in here. all depends on what you want it for.
