i am thinking of buying an 00 400ex with
Supertrapp exhaust,
K & N jet kit,
Billet brake blockoff, Billet fuel shutoff,
a SHARP Troy Lee Designs graphics kit and seat cover with gripper seat
and a set of rear paddle tires on Douglas rims

how much do you guys think its worth?.. around 3000? + or -?

Less than 3000. I'd give him 2500 at the most.

 

Not much! Locally, they have been selling off NEW 04's for $4,000 out the door.

 

I paid $2500 for mine. I think I got an average deal.

 

A totally stock 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 are all worth virtually the same. I would base it more on the number of hours than the model year. Basically, nothing changed. $2,500 is the bottom line price I've seen for any average, basically stock 400ex. If it is really beat, then around $2,000.

Does it have aftermarket bars, steering stem, nerfs, skidplates? $3,000 seems too steep for just the exhaust and seat cover.


Check the a-arms, axle bearings, swingarm bearings, brake pads, brake rotors. Deduct for the cost of the parts if they are bad.
