Sorry about that.
Just got my bike back from the dyno it is putting out 51.43 HP and with the nos it is putting out 59.49 the nos is suposed to be a 15 shot but I am only getting 8HP is this normal ? What kind of HP are you guys getting with your setups?

Sounds to me like it needs some tuning. what Jetting are you running and did you play with anything like jetting on the n20 while you were on the dyno? It hard to go off of what NOS says to use for jetting because they make everything very conservative. I use a 28 n20 and 30 fuel which by NOS is in between a 25 shot and a 30. That was the best tune for the amount of gain I was wanting.

How about some more info on your motor set up and type of nos.

I've dynoed both NOS and Boondockers. If set up right I usually get what it's suppose to be and more.

BOM if I remember right I beleive he is using an NOS kit. My jetting always changed from what NOS recomends. They like to keep it on the safe side as you know. It was always fun tuning the cross plate on my car.

According to the dyno, no matter what dyno you are on....... Boondocker usually runs a little less than advertised. I am currently running a 25shot on the dual (big) manifold. The dyno told me I was at about 20 - 21 at the rear tires. I am going to bump up to a 35 shot and will be dyno'ing in the next couple of weeks.
According to many pals running the BD stuff, my numbers are pretty much about there. My buddy runs a 35 shot and the dyno put him at 27 to the rear wheels.

When I had my wet system, the numbers were more accurate, but the tunning was a nightmare. Also, bottle pressure was SO critical with a wet system that it made NO2 a real pain. Since my bd system, the only thing I seem to have a problem with are the bottles. They go empty MUCH faster. Where my bottle is placed, makes it very nice and perfect for the colder weather of our dune season.

Couldln't be happier. Also, once you get your system dialed in, throw your Nanometer on it and take a note of the measurement. Now, every other time you go out, measure and adjust to the exact same thing and you are good to go. My system likes things RIGHT under 1/2 inch per 5 hp. Your results may vary, but that is where my system seems to run the best. I LOVE MY BD system. VERY EASY!!!!!

Sounds like your rich on the manifold. Check your pressure with the manometer. Im running at 3.5 on a 25 shot. If you cant get it on the manifold you will have to play with the venting to get it close then fine tune it with the screw. You got to listen to it carefully for any pinging the exhaust sound should be crisp. On the dyno we had a 20 shot at 3.5 inches air/fuel was about 13.2 it showed right around 19hp gain. so pretty close.

The Boondocker bike I dynoed was a stage 2. It was running a 20hp shot. From what the motor dyoned alone to what it did with the nos was right on the money!!

I like both the NOS and Boondockers. I have ran the NOS brand since the early 80's. No problems here. I did forget to put the jets in once!!!

Jeff is right, a lot of it is not only the nitrous, but what else you do to it. Sure, you can get a decent HP gain with any of the nitrous kits. But a lot of it is also what cams, piston, and how well tuned the nitrous is. Most stock quads have no problem with a 15 or 20 hp shot. But if you build them up, find someone or ask around what components work even better with Nitrous. And for you Fuel Injected quad owners (IE 700R), Jeff seems to have the low down on that too.

If your jets in the nozzles and the jets in the carb or spot on then your gonna obtain the proper hp/shot. But of course, if you have the right port work/cam profile you can obtain a greater yield of hp/shot.
