Anyone got any links to sites to help him out with his search?

Any info will help so he can choose and buy his product.

Note: 97wolv, bigger tires will decrease engine performance dramticly. You neccasarly dont need the "biggest" tires but good treaded/mud/all terrain tires.

Thx.

I've heard that 25" is the max you can get without ruining your bearings instantly.
Tread is more important than size

Have a look at the Sur Tracs ..... I have them on my Wolverine and I'm sure you will like them as much as I do....25 inch tires is as big as you want to go and stick with the stock widths..

Well heh, he made up his mind just yesterday and ordered the Super Swamper Vampires 26x12x12.

He's gettin them from National Tire in a package all for $400, 4 rims, 4 tires, pretty good deal to me.

Well, I hope he doesnt want to turn them in the mud cause it aint. I saw a modified wolv have troubles with 25" bearclaws in the mud. So he might want to rethink.

I have a 97 wolverine with 26x12x12 sure tracs no mods just removed baffle,,lost some low end, but it depends on how you ride. I don't pull anything with mine,
except an occasional two wheeler that tried to follow me.I have been in some messy mud holes and i havent' had it bog down yet. I'm about 6foot and go about 210lbs. I am looking into getting a jet kit, I notice that some hills i have to take in 1st gear now, but i don't plan on jumping 6 feet in the air at the top, I'm a heavy woods rider. BUt my top speed has increased alot....
