Default Warrior Aftermarket Exhaust

I looking at changing the exhaust on my Warrior...

I'd like to get something that will give me a power increase, but I would like something that is fairly quiet.

The IDS2 that I run now is nearly deafening. I rode down the creek today, which is 3/4 of a mile straight-line distance, and the boys said they could hear me the whole way there and back.

Thanks!

Get a pro circuit 496 if you want it to be quiet http://procircuit.rideshop.com/catal...ath=1_13_23_84

Have you checked the packing and number of discs on the IDS2 ?, I have one on my son's 300ex, and it has a deeper growl to it, but not overly loud, and I am not a loud pipe fan myself. If your quad came with that pipe, maybe it has the packing burnt out, or the max number of discs in for more flow, which makes it run loud. I believe there is also a race and quiet core available for these exhausts, you may have a more straight through race core, which is much louder. Take the end cap off, check how many discs you have, and see if there is a baffle in the middle, or just a perforated tube(race core ).
At 50 or 60 bucks, an new core is a lot cheaper than a new pipe, or it just may need a good repack.

Fmf makes a Q series pipe which is supposed to be reasonably quiet. I don't know of any other pipes that aren't loud. I know my HMF carries for about a mile and a half, and even with a quiet core they still rattle windows.

My 2000 warrior came with a wite brothers R4 pipe. It sounds good and its not overly loud. I cant really tell you about any gains though since I never road it stock.

e series or anything with the disked endcaps like alba etc is a good choice for noise control and good hp numbers.
