go to www.sandwizards.com and download the service manual for both bikes, then follow the procedures.

sandwizards has service manuals on there. Or try calling a yamaha dealer. They will be able to tell you all the info.

good site. yep, service manuals are on there. i just went thru the YFZ one. Pretty interesting that they say change the oil every 1 month, then at 6 month intervals. I would think the intervals would be more frequent than that, considering the kinda revs the engine makes and a yamaha rep said to change it every 5 rides...

how often do most of you YFZ owners change it?

HINT: when you go the main sandwizard page- look on the left side of the screen at the list. pick "tips and tricks". when that page loads, then click the big blue letters that spell out "SERVICE MANUALS." Dont click on the individual bikes b/c there is nothing there (well under the raptor they have how to disconnect the reverse limitor or something). after that comes up, scroll down and you will see the yamaha bikes listed and the manual is in PDF format for you to look at or download.

this is for the raptor. the total amount of oil is 2.43 quarts and that is the oil filter and everything
oil filter torque in 12 ft lbs.
crankcase bolt torque is 22 ft lbs.
oil tank bolt torque is 18 ft lbs. after your done changing it start the quad and rev it several times and shut it off and check the oil. is that everything or do you need more info.

That is straight from the manual? the torque specs just seem high. But if that is right that is everything I need. Thanks
