Default STC racing supercharger

In about 1998, there was a company named STC Racing that had developed a blower for a 1985 250R trike and they did an article on that and the increase on the rear wheel horsepower that it made with and without aftermarket pipes. They were also developing a blower for a Banshee. I now can not find any information on this company and can not tell if they are still in business or not or if this item is still on the market someplace. Anybody have any information on this??? Thx...Dean

Yeah the system was called a "stratocharger." It was suppose to make drastic improvments in horsepower but Im not positive on that. I dont know a lot about this particular setup. The last web sites I know about that have these are (www.stratocharger.com) and (http://stc.pair.com) but neither one of those seem to be working right now for some reason. I'll keep looking, let me know if you find anything.

Thx for your reply. I still have a copy of the article. I think the one I have is a follow up of an original article in Dirt Wheels, but I am not sure. The print is so small however, that it makes it hard to read. But it made 4 additional horsepower, stock with some jetting and a reed spacer I think and about 8 HP increase with an aftermarket exhaust, which is pretty impressive considering no engine work. These were rear wheel dyno results. Original rear wheel HP was 26.5 I think without finding the article and with the little blower went to over 30 and then with the pipe around or just past 34 depending on which pipe. The Whale Tail seemed to be the best choice according to the article because of a longer, smoother power band. I have a friend who has an 88 250R that would like to make additional HP but doesn't want to molest his stock bike. It was really simple and stated 30 minute istallation. (NOT FOR ME i'M SURE) Thx for your input....Dean
