I noticed the rpm on the HO is alot more just ridding at 20 or 30 mph than the 99sp.why? man this HO is alot faster than my 99 was and its not even broke in yet.i did notice the low gear seems to be lower than the 99 also. is it??

How did you measure the rpm differences?

The gearing is identical. The difference is the clutch. My new H.O. has 46 gram clutch weights, The 2000 Sp comes with 52's stock, I think, Mine had 48's in it, which were considered "High Altitude". The lighter clutch weights let the engine rev higher, putting the gearing of the auto tranny on to a higher, more powerful torque curve. Higher rpm = more power
=go faster. Lower overall gearing would give you more acceleration and climbing ability but lose top end speed. Lighter weights in your Polaris
PVT clutch give you both. A white spring in that same primary clutch would increase that same effect and delay engagement as well, so you take off with more rpm = faster,,quicker
Life is beautiful.
