dvx, kfx, z timing chain question

Default dvx, kfx, z timing chain question

my friend told me these quads have had problems with stretching timing chains. has anybody else heard about this or know if its true.

yes, havent had a prob with mine but a guy that owns a shop in my town told me that today. something about the spring being heavy duty and it puts pressure on the chain, he was telling me he could mod the spring to let off some ten. or you could go with a heavier chain.

I was told by my dealer the only way your going to stretch the chain is by ideling along at really low speeds lugging the engine .

I've had to replace mine on my DVX, my son on his KFX and one of our friends on his z...we all race um both flat track and motocross...they are all modified mine being a 434 and both the KFX and Z are 440's...don't really know the reason, just figured it was part of racing
