ATC250R Oil Mixture
#1
I just got a cherry 1985 250r. The guy i bought it from never even went through a tank of gas with it so he couldn't even tell me what he mixed it at. It is bone stock (still even has original tires). I noticed that right above the gas tank there is a little sticker that says "mix ratio 20:1 only." I want to mix it a little leaner , like 32:1, and i just want to know if this is alright? I mix my banshee at 50:1 and it runs a lot better than before when we ran it like 32:1. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Essentially, its the same thing as the Banshee. Run it at 50:1 with good oil just as you would do with your Yamaha. I run both my 250R's at 50:1 and have never had a problem. I go to 32:1 when I use my alcohol carb. Good luck with the R.
Can I convince you to travel to southern NY to do some ice racing? My freinds and I want to get others to do some ice racing this winter in Greenwood Lake NY (by NYC). Actually, maybe we can come closer to you if we have another mild winter.
