Default 250cc dirtbike engine in raptor?

ok well i got my raptor engine all back to geather then rode it for a few hrs and another problem came up. its a ticking sounds like a gear is skipping. this is the second time i did a full rebuild on this engine and im am sick of it! i put the whole thing back together perfectly and the thing is just junk. the first time i did a rebuild was cuz of 4th gear dogs failing wich means no more 2nd gear. rebuilt it then the oil pump failed and 5th gear pinion sezed so i got a 02 trans.rebuilt it and now there is a gear skiping some where in there and the one way bearing is failing. im thinking of ether selling the whole bike parting out the whole bike parting out the engine and putting a banshee engine in or maby a 250cc db engine in. i really want a banshee!

C man, Sounds to me more like your engine builder doesnt think everything through when doing his work.
It sounds to me like something wasnt put together properly. Like a spacer or thrust washer is missing and you have 2 components hitting each other because they are not proerly spaced.
So if the first time it was apart for the 4th gear dogs, why wasnt the oil pumped replaced at that time?
It should have been. Any time you break internal componants you get metal shavings, and they will get suck into the oil pump. So it sounds like your builder wasnt thinking.
So now the oil pump goes out and 5th gear seizes. Again, builders fault for not replacing the pump when it should have been.

Quiet honestly, You cant seam to be able to put a motor back together properly. I doubt you have the capacity to be able to do the motor swap either.

i did replace the oil pump roters and the gear! i also flushed the engine out so there was no metal in there. ive rebuilt many engines many 2strokes. i know what i am doing thank you much. this engine was put together verry poorly from factory. the trans should not have failed in the first place. i was just wondring if the rear motor mount on a yz250 would fit the swing arm.also i said i rode the junk for a few hrs then another problem came up.
