just to clairify, when your deffinition of clamp on is removing the airbox and attaching a round K&N to the carburator, correct? if so, do you have the stock exhuast or a white brothers?. if your running stock i would say around 160, 165. if your running a white bros, i would say 170, 175, maybe even a 180

yes the round K&N that goes on the carb, i have the stock exhaust on there with the end spark arrestor off so wich would work better 160 or 165??

im not sure if those numbers are right, but i would start with your 160. remember that the carburators screws to access the fuel needle and the main jet are REALLY hard to get off, your probebly going to need an impact driver. put your 160 in, and put your fuel needle at like, the third clip from the top. drill the brass plug out, and turn it all the way in, and rotate it 3 1/2 turns out. start it up let the engine warm up a little and play with the throttle. make sure it revs good. if it stumbles a little in sertain places you need to play with your needle.

if your still pumping out black smog on the leanest setting, you need to go to a smaller jet, if you can go rich all the way on your needle, you can go to a 165 jet.

good luck.

You could use the dynojet kit, I have the stage 3 in mine but there is not much of a difference between the two. As far as jetting it you want to start with a larger jet and work your way down. I would start with a 180. It's better to run fat then lean.
