Dad just bought this and I'm trying to help him fix various issues. 95 Bayou klf 400, the boot around the drive shaft blows up unless I leave the oil cap loosened. I've been thru the manual and numerous pages on the forum and havent found any reference to this problem. thought it might be rear tranny seal but the book doesnt show one. The boot was ripped when we got it due to someone not leaving the cap loose and a stick got it so now it has to be replaced but would like to fix whatever is causing the blow up like a balloon problem. any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated.
