Best Exhuast for 2005 yfz 450
#1
Ok guys, still a little new to the offroad scene. I just picked up a new 2005 yfz450 and want to get intake, full exhuast and jet kit. What is the best setup for this particular bike. I would like an aggressive sound too. I live in CA so it has to have a Spark Arrestor. Thanks

I feel the best after market exhause for teh YZF450 and New raptors is the LTE Racing duals. They are pricey, but that are absoluteley worth money. I bought the LTE dual for my 2005 Raprot 660, and it screams now! I came with a jet kit, and full exhaust. I now beat built banshees up oldsmobile, not just one banshee, but many!! Check out their site www.lteracing.com

Hey, no offense is meant by this, BUT how many "lte exhausts" do you see on a yz450f? I am sure they are a half way descent exhaust, but look at what the mx guys are running on there full on race machines. Then also realize that mx is where the money is, and where things are proven. I see a lot of WB, DRD, yoshi, and so on. I would take a look at whats making the power for a yz450, and whats winning races when considering exhausts. Course maybe your just looking for an ALL OUT topend pipe, which maybe the lte is...but realize a pipe that is just topend is going to suck on a track or woods. You'll have a nice drag pipe and that it.
.....just another way to look at it.

I think the Yosh full system or the Dr. D is about the best for power. The LTE does really well on the big bores like the Raptor and the DS's but it didn't seem to help 450's as I recall. It also actually adds weight to the bike due to the dual canisters. Usually one of the advantages of an aftermarket pipe is losing some weight.

Thanks guys for your input. I know to most users this would seem like a stupid question because it is biased, but since I am new to the atv world I thought I would ask what most people are using. I have been searching like a dog and a lot of people are also using the HMF pipes (full). What do you think about those, I can pick it up for a good price about 350 for full exhaust. Thanks again for your input.

I would look at NMOTION before buying anything.

I had an HMF and thought it did great! Another feature I liked was the ability to color match it with your bike. I had the red one for my white 450. for 200 dollars it is tough to beat. (slip on) I would also recomend the Nmotion as well... not from personal experence but heard they did a great job
