dually4u.......
First of all welcome to the site..........Have you checked the fluid level in the front gearcase???If so, has the fluid been changed recently and did you use the right fluid? It is a very simple mistake to sometimes use the wrong fluids...If you use Polaris brand lubricants the front gearcase takes Premium Demand Drive Hub Fluid.......If the wrong fluids are used the AWD won't engage properly......Just a suggestion...

The AWD will only engage below ~8mph and 3500ish RPM. That's the way it's been for a long time. That logic is there to protect the mechanical guts of the front drive incase it's engaged with a large speed differential btw. the front and rear wheels.

sportsman i hate to disagree with you but up untill last wednesday it would engage at any speed all i had to do was slide the switch and the light would come on in the gage pod. now thats not to say it was in 4x4 i was told by the dealer that it only engages 4x4 when the rear wheels lose traction. as far as 3500ish rpm i didnt look at what rpm it was at only that it was 10 mph. it does however disengage at any speed

thanks for everyones input

FYI - This is what is in the owners manual:

"The AWD switch may be turned on or off while the vehicle is moving.
Initially, the vehicle’s electronic system will not enable the AWD until
the engine RPM is below 3100. Once enabled, the AWD remains
enabled until the AWD switch is turned off. If the switch is turned off
while the front gearcase is moving, it will not disengage until the rear
wheels regain traction."

I didn't see anything about speed???

it will engauge at any speed only when your rpms come down below that level but once it kicks in it will stay at any rpm until you unload it per say and then you must let rpms come down to kick it in again at least thats the way ours work

I stand corrected... The speed limit I was talking about actually applies to the reverse speed limiting logic. Sorry about that.
