This topic has probably been beat to death already?Who has piped one.Which pipe has worked out the best.Thinking slip-on and mid.Any opinions?Filter,I think is a matter of opinion, and conditions.Going to start the project on brothers bike.Looks like it may be a job getting all of the crap out of the way to get to the carbs?RAJ,I think this may be a question you could help out on?

HMF makes an excellent slip-on or full system for the Predator. They also have jetting recommendations and will sell you the jets. All you have to do is swap out the main jet, and jetting is usually spot on with their recommendations. The power on the low and mid end makes a huge difference!!!

RAJ doens't get on here too much anymore.
I didn't see it mentioned, but I would also recommend doing something with the intake if that hasn't already been done. Doesn't make allot of sense to high flow the exhaust if you're not flowing the intake also. Most folks are going with either a clamp-on K&N or Uni filter, or what is called the Civic Intake. Some others are doing the Rath intake which takes the lid off the stock airbox and clamps a filter to the carb boot. You can find more info on the Civic and Rath at Pred Owners also. In fact, I think someone on there is selling their Rath, so you might get a good deal. I went with just the straight clamp-on, and would say she opened up nicely.
Jetting can be a PITA. If you do it right, you don't have to pull the carb all the way out. You have to be extreamly careful though with the bowl screws. They are in there good, and a pain to get out without stripping them. Once you get them out, you are good to go...

That is what I thought on the HMF.We have taken a look at the FMF too.As for the intake,I understand the point.Might as well make it breath well. The bike is still completely stock. Not to familiar with the intake? Will have to do a little research. As for the carb screws,oh yea,I know.BUTTER SCREWS!Pain in the butt.Probably upgrade those to allens.Had the same problem with my Raptor.
Thanks,I'll have to start looking at the intake portion of the project.

well I have tested a few and the best slip ons seem to be the pure polaris/white brothers e with a turn down.the hmf is great too,I think the nicholar cycles one is made by hmf. The rath was very good also. But with all my mods it seems that the pure polaris with a turn down is indeed the best.

We have thought about the Pure Polaris but I was'nt sure.I did'nt know if it was actually a good pipe or not.I bought the GYT-R for my raptor, from the local dealer and was not too impressed.I did'nt know if they were trying to just push a product or not. That will be something else to think about now. Thanks for all the input, everybody is being very helpful!Anyone else.

No I don't get on here much anymore do to a Moderator. I'm not going to support a forum that it's ok if Joe blow says this, but if I say it he has a problem. Any way HMF is a great pipe, I had the Pure Polaris with the turn down tip, which is a good pipe. I also had a buddy with a FMF..........Stay away from FMF, he had no top end at all. He sold the FMF on e-bay and bought a HMF and fell in love. You will not go wrong with HMF, and if you are thinking Header pipe go with Rath Racing, he has the best header on the market.
Webopper, is right on the Intake. You have to open it up and let it get some air. I loved the twin air, I also had the Rath Racing Intake, and did not like that set up. I got alot better trottle response with the twin air. We rode in mud, creeks up over our tires and never had a problem. But make sure you get a outerware for the filter. Doug's carb mods are also great, and he is a great guy.
Good luck with it, and if you have any questions PM me, I think it e-mails me when I get a PM.

He just doesn't like me because I have a yamaha screen name and he gets one message edited by myself because of its content and then blows a gasket.
