Default new guy help!

hey guys
i have a stock DS that has been sitting in a garage for a wile. im planing on getting it ready for some spring riding. what can i do in terms of performance? i remember a long time ago, i found a site that sold a tip for the exhaust that was as effective as new exhause, at a fraction of the price. is this still out there? i was thinking an intake, exhaust, and jet it correctly, would that be a noticible increase? what else do you guys recomend i do?

I would empty the tank and rinse it, pull the carb bowl and flush any varnish or seperation from it, and hose the needle valve and seat out well, while being careful not to alter its float level adjustment.

yes an end cap and ported intake manifold will make a wonderful difference from bottom to top. but keep in mind the end cap is not spark arrested and is louder so if this is an issue where you ride you can opt for an end cap that accepts disks or just get a slip-on with sparky option.

OnDunes has end caps in open style or disk, HPResearch has end caps but not sure if they offer disks, either of these places can recommend jetting for the alterations.

good luck and have fun!

Disk end cap, k&n air filter, with outerwears, 60 percent clutch springs. You will have to rejett.
