Hi I've searched and I need some help on seeing if I can get away with one set of tires or if I need 2?

Winter, studded for ripping on the ice and small rivers where I live.
Summer, out in the mountains 20% mud holes, 20% hill climbing, 40% shale, rocks and dirt, 20% muskeg?

Thinking about Razr2's or Holeshot hd if one set.

or 1 set ice tires like chen shin 826 or holeshots / razr1 studded. Then put on some 22 bearclaws or gators for summer.

All stock up front.

Feed back appreciated on what you would do.

 

if i were you, i would stud your stock tires and run another set for summer

 

I've been trying to run studs in the stock tires and that's where I've been having issues. I can not get the studs to stay in, 2 hours on the river and I pitch 1/3 of them. I think the tires are too soft to hold the studs. I may try shorter studs height if I can find them and contact cement them in. The stock tires do not have a deep enough lug to run studs but 1/2 inch into the tire.

that's funny 17.00 per tire, look good enough for a ride'm lawnmower anyway!

 

only suggestion i could think of instead of buying new is get used, hard set of tires on crapy rims and studd those. Try ebay or even a junk yard maybe?
