Anyone of you go though alot of ball joints(upper and lowers). I did us all wrong,when i went to the 06 test ride for polaris I should have Told them to improve the ball joints on the predators.Instead I bitched about brakes and frame flaws.Well, hear we are with another shot set of ball joints.I have even tried to add greese zerks to the middle of the ball joints.It works good but they still can't take the abuse.The problem is the inside of the ball and socket is lined with plastic and the ball is metal .of corse the plastic wears out. The 03 modle ball joint were even worse.I've heard and seen a set come apart before . the guy it happend to got tossed and hurt . This is a safty issue and polaris should fix it before someone gets killed.
PLEASE GO CHECK YOURS NOW!! I was one jump or woop away from a major crash the last time i rode . luckly I noticed it.

Matt, I know a guy who found that a certain Honda Civic ball joint worked in his aftermarket a-arms on his 400Z Suzuki. Do you think you might could match up something like that? I imagine a car ball joint could take the abuse. It might take someone at the parts store who has a little patience, but if they are replaceable then I would go try to find something else if I could. Hope that helps maybe.

 

i dropped my pred off at nicholas cycle this morning to have them check everything on it before we go to oklahoma feb 17-19...he said that they would check all the ball joints free of cost and polaris would replace them if they were bad or looked like they oculd go bad soon...so i guess i havent had any problems with it.

 

bubba I never thought about that .I'll try to find out and let everyone know what I find.

Polaris has hooked me up before, but replacing a bad ball joint with the same crappy design is dumb.Someone is going to get hurt or killed because of it.so ontill polaris makes a better ball joint I will do my own sreaching.
