Default Raptor 660 backfires off idle, no power. Help!!

I have a 2001 Yamaha Raptor 660 that runs normal at idle, but as soon as I open the throttle it backfires constantly and has no power what so ever. I have removed and completely tore down and cleaned the carburetors and no fix. This started on its own after I shut it off once, so its not from any particular mod. I was wondering if anyone has had any problem similar to this and if so what the solution was. Thanks

Clogged carb or clogged fuel filter would be my guess.

best thing to do is pay $10 for a block off plate and get rid of it so it NEVER TROUBLES YOU AGAIN!!!

Can't you just unplug it? (By the headlights)

Hey dude! I have the same exact problem on my 2001 Raptor 660! It happened just after I tried to adjust my chain b/c there was too much slack then my friend un-hooked my rear brake cable to try to get to the axle bolt easier. So maybe that's what triggered my "e-brake" sensor to engage. Haven't looked at it yet but from what you said it must be the same problem I have.

What exactly did you do to correct the problem?? Please let me know b/c I'm anxious to get it running again...

thanks dude!
