Well, I couldn't fins the other thread so I started a new one here. Not that anyone actually cares, but my basketball team is #1 in our league!!! Oh yeah, go us!!! We beat the team that we had our only loss to on Friday of last week, which tied us. So after the game, we had to flip a coin to determine first place, so they consented to it, we let them call it, and they lost. So now they're bawling about it trying to say it wasn't "legal", but they consented to it, so our coach is going to the ACAA officials to discuss it, so, most likely, the ruling will stand and we'll be in first place. Just got back from my game. We won in double OT 76-73. 'Twas a great game.

 

Well, the results are in. Blair County (us) and Centre County (them) tied for first place, and were therefore forced to flip a coin. On the first flip, Blair County won the toss, but because of whining done by Centre County, a second coin was tossed, and we got the shaft. The good news is that we do get a trophy for tieing for first. It was really only a matter of who plays who in the tournament, it doesn't make that huge a difference. Anyhow, we leave next Thursday afternoon, so wish us luck, and I'll tell ya how it went.

 

That stinks about the second toss. Oh well, good luck in the tourneyments!

 

Thanks. WE won our last scheduled game tonite by 14 in overtime. It was pretty wicked!! Monday is a pickup game with a school that used to be in our league, Johnstown, and then we leave school at one o'clock on thursday for tournaments!! It's gonna be a blast!!

 

Well, tomorrow is the day of days! We leave at noon and play at 4:30. The problem is though, that if we lose to Walnut Street, we are out and have to come home on Friday instead of Saturday. But, we doen't have to worry because we won't lose. So, wish us luck and I will see you on the beach!

Well, tournies didn't go QUITE as expected, but we did pretty good. We won ou first game by 30, but then we lost our second by 30. Then for our consolation game we lost by 10 to a team we ahd already beat... they're the jacks with the whole coin toss thing. So, we still got first in our division and fourth over all. Not bad considering we're the first team to go and win ANY games in the tournaments since the 80's. (We're a small school.) So, until next season!
