well i was rideing this weekend and i was going over some pritty rocky stuff pritty fast and all the sudden my quad started makeing this wierd sound and it wouldent let me give it any throttle and i think i got a rock stuck in my frotn sproket and it grinded it down cuz whenever i try and give it gas all it does is make a really low grould and make my footpeg vibrat and the side of my engine ware my sproket is.......any help would be great cause ive got a race this weekend i really dont wanna miss so i gotta get this thing fixed...thanks-joe

 

well you mite want to check on the bottom of the transmission and check if theres damage.

 

like on the buttom of the mechine?

 

yea.......if you were riding on rocks its possible that one could of floun up,cracked somthin,and you lost your engine or tranny oil.

no that doesnt seem to be it the buttom of the bike looks like it was never touched....do u think it could be anything else?

 

does it still let you move or no.

 

yes it still lets me move just i cant give it a lot of throttle at ounce or it just makes a grinding noise but i can slowly pick speed up

 

well my guess would be somthin got screwed up in your tranny.not neccisarily from a rock messing somthing up.coulda just broke at that time.i would go to a local repair shop or a dealer and have them check the tranny.if your local shop is as good as mine,well they could have you up and running by the weekend.
o,and another question,does it happen in all of the gears?

 

for some reason now i can give it throttle and it wont make that noise but whenever i try to wheelie the sound comes back and my quad just drops
