I live in Oceanside, about 30 miles north of San Diego. I rode a trike on the dunes west of Yuma over the Thanksgiving weekend and had a blast. I'm looking to go back for New Years and would like to rent a quad to try one out with an eye toward buying one next year. Does anyone know of a place in my area where I could rent one for a weekend? Thanks in advance!

Unfortunetly, I don't know of any rental places. I only know of rental shops at Pismo. I'd try the Yuma chamber of commerce. You say the dunes west of Yuma? Why not Glamis, just east of Yuma? It is very popular and there is cool night life. I am going to be at Gordons Well (southern Glamis) January 28-30.

i was talking to the owners of the atv rental place in oregon, there were thinking of moving to glamis for the winter, get on the oregon dune sight look at rentals and ask them, they were pretty sure they were going to rent there.

Thanks, Mike and loonatic for the replies. Loonatic, do you have the web address for the place in Oregon you're referring to? I'll check them out and let them know you referred me. Dennis
