Right now Ive got a 04 400ex, I would like a new 450r. And let my kid have the 400ex. But all I really do is trail ride, Fast trails with a little mud.(I dont look for mud but sometimes you cant avoid it.) How does the 450 compare to the 400? Besides more power. Will it beat you up on a trail? We do alot of 80 plus mile rides and the 400 is comfortable. What kind of range does the 450 have? Maybe its over kill and I should look for another 400. Thanks for your input.

 

give him the 400 if i was a kid i would like to have a new 400 the 450 is good it does have a goodbit more power if i was u i would get the 450 does the 400 get good gas mileage on the 80mile trails

reconriderman - Im sure you could,Im fat and old[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] But I like to ride.
9000- Riding hard ,the 400 will get 30 mpg ( Im going off the miles my GPS tells me) And when we fill up at a gas station I check it(cant really tell when gassing out of the gas cans). We never seem to ride nice so Im not sure what it could get. My kids blaster gets the same, I would think it would be worse, plus hes on the gas more than me. How is the ride on the 450? very stiff?

 

i dont think they are to bad i now my 300ex you canr rev it up and use a half tank of gas it sucks it down dont pay any attension to reconriderman he is stupid he gives a recon hell though i am all the time on the gas to though the 450 i dont think is really all that stiff
