the torsen works pretty well, the only time it doesn't use both front tires is when I get the one tire off of the ground (rare) and I'm working too much to rock the machine and work the throttle to concentrate on holding the front brake just the right amount at the same time. If you have all 4 tires on the ground it is obvious that both front tires are sharing the work without having to work the brake.

I had looked at a locker, and still may get one, but it would be the DGL

action450 has one on his Foreman, talk to him to see what he thinks about it (I think he would prefer the DGL, but values the locker from what I remember reading)

I think most get by with stock. I have so far. I've ridden with bikes with lockers and we all go the same places. Technique and smart lines can make up for a lot.

From the description it looks like it permenantly locks the front wheels. I really don't think you would like this one bit. As in their disclaimer about the steering in loose dirt and mud, hmm make that real slippery mud, ice (not snow covered) and maybe sand. I have the select diff lock on my older KQ and and it makes steering almost impossible unless you are going straight. I could not imagine driving around like this all the time and especially at speeds on trails, woods, etc.

But if you do install this I will guarantee your arms will become more powerful.

thanks guys, never thought about forcing a power transfer with the brake, have done that in a triaxle dump before to get out of trouble. I thought the spool idea seemed a bit extreme myself unless you are looking to bulk up your arms. my Polaris really has been good to me, but sometimes I wonder if a SRA shifter machine would be a better choice. too bad I'm not in a position to make it an addition instead of a choice...
