I am looking at getting a set of GBC Dirt Devils in 25x8x12 and 25x10x12's for the rear of my King. My question is, what is the actual height of these tires? Are they true 25"? I really want to go with a 26" tire but don't know if I want the XT tire that has 1-1/4" lugs. I ride mostly fire roads and backroads in the mountains of Colorado. I want a smooth riding tough tire. I don't do much mudding. How much of a difference if any, is the 26x9x12 front tire going to show on the front. Isn't this tire wider than the stock? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

the dirt devils are 25.2" front and 25.4" rear. the tires sit deep in the fenders, so i don't think the tire will really "stick out" of the fender, as you are only adding 1/2" per side of the wheel(when adding 1" in tire width) unless you plan on getting a clutch kit, i would go with the A/T's because the added tread depth of the X/T's also adds considerable wight to the tires.

 

i got dirt devils for my vinson, stock size 25x8 25x10 and couldnt be happier. tires seem to perform great in all my riding conditions. played in the mud all weekend and they worked good allthough i know they arent a hardcore mudtire. done some steep hillclimbs in 2 wheeel drive and they worked good there too. they seem to ride pretty smooth once you figure out what air preesure works best for your setup. hope this helps ya out.
