The hmf is not as loud as i expected but i hear that it will get louder as a ride it a bit more to break it in. it looks grreat sounds good and gives good power. i am jetted at 195 and running a little bit rich. but it is all great thx foir all the input

Congrad on the upgrade. Make sure your not running to rich. That could be just as bad as leaning it out.

i have the same pipe on my 03 ds, i like it alot but i am way rich i think. where did you get it? ebay? because i did and i installed the jet that came with the pipe. if this is the same situation as you this would be a great help to me bc i cannot seem to find what jet i am using that came with the kit..i would love to know because, i am in the middle of trying to re tune the whole thing and if i knew what jet i had this could be alot eaiser.

 

 

With a stock carb, the HMF sport (no quiet core), K&N filter (air box and lid on) at sea level I am running really well with a 170 jet. I tried a 175 last time, and was too rich. I am getting a 172.5 to try out next time to see where that gets me. Needle postition is where it came stock.
