I just installed an HMF slip-on, KN Powerlid, and re-jetted it. All I can say is wow. It made a HUGE difference in lower RPMs, but made gains all through the powerband. Got everything for $370.00. It was worth every penny.

If you decide to do some more mods I would recomend a cdi. My friend with the 05 got a killer deal on a procom cdi that was brand new off of ebay. He gave $65 for it. The procom has 3 different timing curves with stock, plus 1000, and plus 2000 rev limits. I think they are hard to find for that price but he did and it was worth every penny and more.

No problem. If you want all the good info for your kfx you'll need to go to the suzuki forum, being the z and the kfx identical except for the plastic color.

go 1 tooth down on front sprocket, you'll lose a little off the top but you'll gain some good torque on the bottom!!
what size jetts are you running?

you need to check for corrosion under your water pump!! hopefully its under warrenty. all of them have it.i found it on mine and kawi said they aren't fixing it out of warrenty so, i just spent 200 on a o4 alum cover. dont let your dealer say he doesnt know what your talking about.get a new 1 and use a diffrent kind of coolant, alot of z owners said go with engine ice coolant. all 05-06 have this prob. go to suz. forum and you'll find out what im talking about!!!
