2005 400ex vs. 2006 400ex
You can get a 2005 in Yellow or Red. The 2006 are available in Black or Red. Other than that, I don't believe anything except that you can probably score a nice deal on a leftover 2005 if your dealer has any left.

Well I ended up getting a leftover '05 for 6300 otd w/ a 2 year warranty. Kinda high after looking around. My uncle has the 06 and I noticed that when he starts his there is a whistle to it, and with mine there isnt. Also it seems that my gears run a little shorter than his.

There should be no differences in the 05's and 06's what so ever other than a color option. And most new machines have a humm to them.
I hate to say it, but 6300 is pretty high, but at least you bought a machine that will last you 4-ever if you maintain it properly.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
