The engine is Suzuki's, other than that the rest is all Arctic Cat and way better than the Eiger. PS, it is spelled with a "c" after the ar.

i guess when you say you compare a vinson to a 500 arctic cat with the exact same motor the difference is the vinson can run around fast on the trails and is sexy for that type of work but if you want something for the mud or to pull things or to go rock crawling and need articulation then the cat is the way to go and i am sure other people have more to add to this even though suzuki makes a sexy machine.

I think Weez described it well but i dont think i would have used the word "sexy" to describe suzuki.
The cat will be better at hauling, working, more comfort, mudding, rock crawling and extreme terrain, while suzuki vinson will be faster, more agile, handle better in the trails.

Both good machines, thats why AC uses the motor. But not for long, I live 20 min south of St Cloud Mn where they are building an AC plant and making their own motors. Wonder what they will be like

I think all the Cat's have the Zuke engine exept the 650 V2 (Which has a Kawi Engine, same as the Kawi Prairie 650...) and the minis...(Dunno whats in 'em but probably something Japanese or something : p) and the 250's (My Quad YAY) are made be Kymco.

The 400 and 500 and the old 250 and 300 have or had Suzuki motors. The 650 V-2 has a Kawasaki and the 650 H-1 has the Arctic Cat motor. The new 250 is a Kymco machine, as will the 300 version when it appears. The mini's I also haven't a clue.
