Eton Viper 90 2 or 4 stroke.

I need some help in my decision making. I am getting my son a mini. I am sold on the Eton but now they have the 4 stroke and the 2 stroke 90R, I haven't seen any reviews of the 4 stroke though and am a little skeptical. Could anyone give some feedback on the 4 stroke as compared to the two stroke. Thanks in advanced.

4-stroke = less power and few performance upgrades. I would never buy a small 4-stroke with a cvt tranny. Bad combo imo. Get the 2-stroke. Proven engine with more aftermarket parts than you can shake a stick at.

Just got a 90R 4 stroke for our 7 year old and it runs pretty good. Not too interested in racing so break neck speed is not an issue. So far, the machine overall has been great. Does have very small header pipe and sounds a little stuffy. I'm guessing a new exhaust would really open it up. I was impressed how quick it can haul my 190lbs around the place. Does have some nice ground clearance so wanted to spread out the wheels but Hetrick Racing's 2" wheel spacers do not fit - existing lugs too big.

Sales rep told me the 90r 4 stroke is pretty good in power. I see alot of guy's on here dont like 4 strokes but you guy's will see only 4 strokes for sales in the near futuare.

Well guys against everyones opinion I went with the four stroke. Haven't given it to my 5 year old yet but this weekend I will. I went with the four stroke for the better suspension. I am sure that in the very near future that the parts will be out there just like they are for the 2 stroke Viper 90. Just have to give the aftermarket about a year and they will see that the Viper 90 4 stroke will soon be the number one selling mini imo. Just give em time and they will have more parts than you need.

I disagree. The aftermarket parts are driven by racing and I don't know of nobody pushing the 90cc cvts as race machines. They've been out for a couple of years now starting with the Mongoose. The 2 strokes and even the 4-stroke semi-auto's have a competative edge.
