Raptor 700 overheating problem
#1
heres my story ( straight to the point):
I went up to the mountians last week and i rode my 700 for not more that 30 mins striaght. it was about mid day, and we stopped to wait for the others to catch up. i shut off my bike and left it sit for approx 5 min. when i got back i hopped on and tried to start it and it didnt start! my bubby pulled next to me and saw that the coolant resavior was bubbling alot. then i opened my gas cap , and no luck ( though it could have been vapor lock or something). i had to wait for 20 min until my bike would start back up.
i though it was maybe just my bike, but my buddy's bike did the same thing 1 hour later !
Both of our bikes are stock, nothing performance on 'em.
does anyone know about ANY problems with the 700? I called both local dealers and they said they didnt have any other person call in or bring their bike in to check.
Maybe u guys know something i dont.
Thanks

Did your fan click on? I know that at least another person had a connection problem with thier fan...I did. Took it to the dealer and they found a faulty connection under the seat. Take it to the dealer and get it looked at since it is still covered.

Hope by now you have your over heating problem worked out. If not, look under the seat, right behind the tool kit sits 3 fuse boxs pull all 3 of them off of the plastic tabs that whole them in place, under the middle fuse box is 2 wires raped up in a black plastic case in side of this case are 2 wires with male female connections. Make sure these wires are connected. They are connected to a resister. If these 2 wires are some what connected but not all the way your fan can still come on, it just want turn as fast as if it was fully connected. This is were I would start looking assuming that your raditor is free of mud or any thing that could block air flow.
