Default Razr or Holeshot for Raptor

I need new tires all the way around on my 03 Raptor. I can't decide between ITP Holeshot XCR or the Maxxis Razr II. The Razr seem like it is a little better tire. I want something that is light but will stand up to lots of tree roots, rocks etc.

ive been doing alot of research on tires , and i found that , its true , the holeshots are lighter. But, the razors 3 are cheaper. it kinda depends on what u do and its mainly prefrence

I would prefer the Holeshots, have you considered the Kenda Klaws though?

Both tires are 6-ply rated. I have had a history of getting flats from tree roots and riding through fields or really rough stuff. I do mostly trail riding in sandy/hardpack conditions. I am looking for something that will stand up to rough terrain, but be light enough to where I won't be slowed up. The cataloge I'm using says the Razr II is the "best" tire for value. Also lists it as an ideal GNCC tire, which I guess is what I'm looking for.

Well, I guess I'm going with the Holeshots. I'll let everybody what I think after a ride or two on the new rubber.

Hey Yamrap, just did a search and I'm in the process of deciding on tires myself ... I pretty well do the same kinda riding ( mountains , sharp rocks , roots , and hard packed , aggressive riding ) I also like a good sliding tire for cornering. The holeshot Hd's look awsome , but I do not want a heavy tire either. just curious as to what tire you chose and how you like them.
