what size and amount of paddles work best on a modded yfz? I have a set of 21x12x8 10 padle haulers now from another bike but i think they would be way too much padde for it.. i was thinking i could shave off every other paddle on them, do you think those would work good then? i just have the standard 20x10x10 8 paddle haulers that everyone has for it at the moment.

 

I run a set or 20x11X10 10 paddle on mine i do trails drags and everything in between ,but take into consideration where you ride... Ive seen posts about at utah orht places up north 8 paddles and about 22s are good

 

well my 21x12x8 10 paddles are the nankang carcass which is what they make the ultralights out of they are actually about 23 inches tall.

 

With your mods it would be hard to over paddle it.. with 8s... id say youd spin them like crazy? Hope this helps some.

 

ive been hearing of guys using like 6 and 7 paddles with thenew 4-strokes a lot though.

 

You may want to look in the dunes and dune machines section. There is/was a post about paddles on a 450 Where they where saying in a place like utah that 8s and 22s are good for there.. here 20s and 10 paddles is awesome.. different places different sand.

 

I personally run 20"X10"X10" 8 paddle haulers. They work fine here for me at the Oregon dunes.

Some of the serious 450 draggers use 6 and 7 paddle straight paddles.
