what kind of gas

Default what kind of gas

i was just wondering.....could i put super gasoline in a quad? what would it do would it make it run better?

like at the gas station 87 or 93. i usually get 87 (regular) or for and extra 20 cents a gallon 93 (super)... would 93 hurt it? i hope u understand now

It won't hurt but if you aren't racing probably isn't necessary. The brand of gas you use is more important. You want a clean burning gas.

I usually run 93 in my Eiger which is no powerhouse but I feel that it runs a little bit stronger than it does on 87, but it might just be all in my head, lol anyway I've never heard of anybody having a problem running 93 in a stock quad, my the guys at my dealer say they all run it, but I'm no expert, and don't claim to be, just a weekend rider!

No need to run higher octane gas unless you have a compression ratio that forces you too. You typically loose horsepower with higher octanes vs 87.

Wow i never knew that. I have always wondered what to use so i end up getting the middle grade to be safe.

I used to use 100 octane racing fuel in my quad and i know it ran alot better. once i ran out of racing fuel and i used regular 89 octane pump gas i could tell a major difference. I suggest to use a 10% ethanol blend and add an octane booster to it. It will probably help you alot.



How does 87 octane fuel have more energy than 93 octane fuel?
