How do i take off my rear sprocket?and can i use my stock chain with 13-42 gearing. thanks. 04 z 400

 

on which type of quad? Z400's take a 14 mil socket and standard thread (not reversed) As long as you use the right size sprockets you can use the same size chain from factory specs.

 

yea its a 04 z400

 

a 14 mil socket will pull it off. Just put a pry bar/large screwdriver through sprocket and swing arm to keep it from spinning.

 

how big is your rear sprocket sit at stock right now

 

i got it on now but the 4 bolts on the swingarm that you have to loosen. one of them the top right one wont get tighten with or with out the washer it just falls right in and out. im guessing the thing its suppose to screw on might have fallen onto my skid plate.
