Default Buying Muzzy exhaust for KFX 700???

I'm getting ready to order a new Muzzy pipe for my KFX700. I ride on the Oregon Coast 100% of the time. I want to add the pipe, change the airfilter (or not), ride with the airbox lid off (or not) and put an outerwears on my filter. Can you reccomend an air filter and what a good starting point for jetting would be.

Thanks

Like justgo said around 180, 185 will get you close. I would personally do the 12 hole mod on the lid instead of taking it off.

Ok, my Muzzy pipe should be here soon. I'm a little green to the jet sizes. Can someone recomend what size (brand) to start with for the front and rear jets. Also I probably should buy some spare for fine tuning at the dunes. I will drill 12 holes in the lid and place the EPI Vents in them. I will keep running the stock filter.

FYI....I ride at sea level

On your stock 700, main jet sizes are:
Front #135
Rear #140

You may try
Front #140 (use the one from rear).
Rear #145 (Kawi P/N92063-1017),

If you want to further fatten up, use
#148, Kawi P/N 92063-1324
#150, Kawi P/N 92063-1330

They are about $8/ea from a dealer.
BTW, loud exhaust noise annoys both ATV and non-ATV people. So, please blip your throttle cautiously when others are around.

I would go with either 180/182 or 182/185 keihen with the duals and 12 1' mod. You can get them from www.sudco.com for around 4.50 each. There a little pricey but you wont have to do any needle adjusting with these jets like you would with dg jets. Also if you are running the Muzzy some say that you can jet each cylinder the same. Just my .02

I just bought some keihen jets but I bought 145, 148 and 150. So your saying that the numbers for the keihen are different than the stock Kawi #'s?

Kawi 700 comes with Keihin main jets in the carbs which is made by Keihin. Kawi does not make carb jets. Carb jet sizes are universal among manufacturers, meaning Keihin #145 is as same size as Mikuni #145. It is the inner diameter of the brass jet where fuel flows.

Is the recomendation by LAVALARRY a little rich 180/182?

I also have read alot about shimming the needles .20. Any thoughts.
