Just wanna check with any of the LT 230 owners out there that have worked on their lt 230's i was wondering if anyone has had any luck finding nerfs to fit there machines and also if someone has a set of nerfs on their machine could you give me some dimensions from the nerfs that fit on the lt 230. I have access to a bender and welder and i was going to start fabbing up some nerfs cause i can;t find them anywhere. I just need a few of the basic dimensions to get started with and also the mounting points for the nerf bars. Any help would be wicked. The last thing next to the nerfs I need to do to finish my quad is but new plastics on it. I was hoping to find used ones, so if anyone has got a set of plastics that are in descent shape, paint and sctrach's don't matter just can;t have any cracks because i will be cutting,sanding and repainting anyways. So if anyone has a set that thet are willing to part with that would be wicked please let me know with either a PM or email me at paulters@hotmail.com

Are the nerf bars for the lt230 one piece or is each side seperate and also do they mount to the foot pegs? Any help is good!!

They are indeed 2 seperate pieces. The original foot pegs do come off and the nerf bars bolt right in the original holes. They slide together on the front and pretty much rest on the front of the frame. Then you take 2 u-bolts and clamp them to the frame. Nice look, they look as if they were made on.

 

Once again thanks for the help, i think i'm going to give it a go and try to fab up some cool nerf's, looks like the DC ones you had a link to are made out of 1" steel tubing so should be no prob to fab some up, if at all possible could you snap a pic of your nerf bars mounted to your lt 230 i wanna see how they look when they are mounted and also the general shape of the nerf's for the lt 230 (only snap a pic of your quad if you got time or if you got one on your comp, this is jsut for my own use so i know what they look like mounted) Again any help/comments are always appricated. Also sounds like you got quite some knowledge on these quads and comments on the DC pipes for these machines cause i can get one for pretty cheap.

Paulters, sorry but I have been slammd lately with work and stuff. Anyways about the pics I can probably get some pics to you by Thursday afternoon if not then hopefully sometime Friday. Sorry if that doesn't work but it will probably be the soonest I can get my quad out in the light. I would prefer to take the pics during the day so you can tell exactly what they look like and what the mounting consists of.
